On restoration and preservation:
Watchmaker Films offers affordable restoration and remastering at archival and broadcast levels. Our goal is to help artists, independent producers and collections. We’ve worked with clients big and small helping them appraise and index their materials or their entire archive. We restore films in all gauges from 9.5mm to 35mm. After remastering films we have restored we facilitate their sale to Netflix, MUBI, The Criterion Channel. Restored films have been featured in festivals including The New York Film Festival, SXSW, Karlovy Vary and Il Cinema Rirovato in Bologna. The restored films have also been featured or bought by museums including The Tate Britain and the Pompidou Centre.
